Update is...well crap...this IS a question
How are u supposed to DO ANYTHING like farming etc. to make money with the new update? AoE like Spiteful, Cyclone, and even stuff like Gladiator's Defense make all melee things run away. And to farm anywhere else, like the desert, u need like 6-7 different skill and armor sets, and that many different weapons aswell. So my question is, how are u supposed to make more then 5k a month?

After every update like this:
People complain People adapt Anet introduces another patch. More complaints People adapt once again. There's already threads on this, search is your friend so is learning to adapt . |

lol moan moan moan, A-net should have never given monster any brains, now i can't beat them blind folded.....
sorry for the rant but honestly, an upgrade to Ai isn't a bad thing and there are many things in the update that are good. and now because the monsters figures out, "wow while i attack with this Hex on my called spiteful spirit i take stupendeus ammounts of damage, maybe i shouldn't attack..." well i say this Ai is perhaps more advanced than some of the things i see in Ra. you can still farm, but in this case its about using the the space between your ears, and not reallying on the monster being really quite stupid, also since this update affects all farmers its not like this update affects only you. /end rant |

Also had several mediocre gold weapons with decent mods to salvage, so it's not all bad. I wasn't even farming, BTW. Just getting some of my lesser used characters off Shing Jea or through Shiverpeaks for the weekend event. |

You're kidding, aren't you, please say you are just kidding......
I've checked out my farming builds (Wammo/55 Monk/etc.) and I see very little difference. On the one hand, it does take a little longer, on the other, it's somewhat easier. The OP should seriously consider examining builds, attributes, weapon choices, armor, etc. The AI change isn't the problem, it's you. |

I tried UW and Nahpui Quarter with my 55hp necro. Melee's didn't run away and Insideous Parasite totally owned.
Muchos gracias a-net |

I like the improved AI, it offers a new challenge. You ask me doing the same thing over and over is boring. There are quite a few people complaining in major towns. Saying it will ruin the economy and what not. I think it will help stabilize the economy; the large problem is so many people farm items aren't worth much.
People complaining about the 55 builds not being as "effective" I think they have ran out of good ideas if that is the only way they can make money. There is nothing to complain about. Area of Effect was slightly nerfed in another patch and it made nukers less effective. People will learn new ways, I think its fine. |

I always hated those demon's in diablo 2 for running away all the time lol.. now guildwars has turned every monster into those demons and I'm actually annoyed at even playing the game right now.

Tried my farming spots with the same builds and had no problems.
It DID take longer and that kinda kills off the scrolls I use while farming for added EXP but oh well, I'll just use a longer lasting scroll and gain less a little less EXP. |

Like Stemnin said, we've dealt with these things before.
Remember how we all felt about the AoE nerf so long ago? We adapted, and we still found new ways to farm.. I believe some S.W.A.T teams motto is: Adapt, Improvise and Overcome. We will find a way to survive this patch, trust me. |

When you get to the temple after making a char, press "j" and select armor and stuff you want, it can be changed in any pvp outpost. And 4 weapon slots YAY! There's a thread on it already i believe. |

Anyways, perhaps an emote such as /farm that makes all monsters in the area drop dead instantly is what it will take to satisfy some of these people. |
